My Project
Many of our kids do not have access to print materials designed specifically for them that gives them information about current news and events. It is important for students to have access to nonfiction text materials such as Time for Kids, because it allows us to teach them how to use nonfiction text features, such as maps, diagrams, captions, etc., to find information.
Most of our kids do not even know that materials such as these classroom magazines exist.
It is super important that we put these things in their hands so that they feel empowered to be changemakers. It is up to us to give them that opportunity.
