Help me give my students art supplies. Art is a big part of our program, we do it every day. These items will help us meet our students needs that our budget isn't able to support.
In our preschool program we fully believe that learning is learned through play. Art is a big part of learning through play. We use many different modalities to facilitate their exploration of art. We have a classroom model of "Take Chances, Make Mistakes, and get messy!"
Our current drying rack is old and most of the shelves are broken.
This makes it hard for the children to use on their own. Since fostering independence is very important to us, we feel a child friendly drying rack will help them gain that independence.
The children also have a sensory table that they play in daily. We like to mix up the mediums they play with, from water, to sand, home made snow and everything in between. The current smocks we have are meant mostly for paint, so if they use water in the sensory table they are getting wet. We would like to be able to let them play without the fear of their shirts getting wet.
We also do a lot of easel painting. Our current easel is broken and unable to be folded up out of the way when not in use. The newer easel would allow us to fold it up and store it when needed and also provide a safe easel for them to use.
We would greatly appreciate any support you would be willing to give to our students and classroom!
