This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently work at a school that is located in an inner city. The building, which is extremely old, was not built with any storage space in the classroom. I am forever looking for furniture that would help with organizing teaching and learning materials. Unfortunately, the furniture that I have found does not last. Currently, much of the materials do not have an appropriate place for access. Shelving is not cheap and is not in the budget.

The students are amazing and deserve a classroom which creates an environment that is functional.
