Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school provides developmentally appropriate practices and a safe environment that is conducive for early childhood learning. Our mission is to provide opportunities for our students to learn and grow through authentic experiences that will build a solid foundation for their academic future success.
We are working to provide a library for our students to enjoy books at school and their homes!
In addition, we want to welcome families back to the building by creating a cozy corner space. In this space, families will be supported by being able to share ideas, share concerns, and collaborating with staff. We are excited to build a partnership with families that will support students with a positive school experience.
My Project
Providing students with a library of rich print books will expose them to new vocabulary! Developing language skills is important at Prek age level. Students will have the opportunity to “check” out books from the school’s library. Once the books are checked out, students can enjoy them at home as well.
Cozy Corner!
Providing families with a safe space in the school building helps support the home to school connection needed to ensure student success. Families will be welcomed to the building to collaborate with staff.
