My Project
Our percussion program is eager to elevate our students’ musical experiences by adding a Malletech MTech Series 5-Octave Padouk Marimba. This professional-grade instrument features precision-tuned padouk bars, a robust frame, and resonators that deliver a warm, rich tone across its full range. With five octaves at their fingertips, students can tackle advanced repertoire, explore solo literature, and develop their technique on an instrument built to last.
Without a dedicated 5-octave marimba, our students are missing out on critical learning and performance opportunities.
Many marimba pieces—both contemporary and classical—require the full five-octave span, and sectional rehearsals or ensemble parts often call for those lowest notes. By providing this marimba, we ensure every percussionist can refine mallet technique, sight-read challenging parts, and participate fully in concerts, festivals, and competitions.
With your support, this Malletech 5-Octave Marimba will inspire creativity, broaden our ensemble’s repertoire, and deepen students’ musical understanding. It will serve multiple classes for years to come, foster mentorship as advanced players guide beginners, and give our percussionists the professional tools they need to shine.
