My Students

Ah the fun, joy, and discovery of Life Sciences. Science has so many opportunities for the "ah-ha" moment. Life Science is very magical and amazing.

I have curious and wonderful students who are beginning to start the Life Cycles part of science.

They are thrilled to experience this. I am expected to teach it, however, materials are not provided. Times are tight and the district is unable to support to purchase the materials. My students experience very little in their lives. Their families are living well below the poverty level and my school has over 80% of the students on free and reduced lunches.

My Project

Each item selected provides an experience with Life Science that will allow exploration and practice. The Life Cycles Theme Box has animal/insect with replica stages of life cycles and activities. The Science Bingo Game Set has each animal/insect and allows review and practice of this skill. Lastly, the kid magnets with markers (for labeling) will help them rotate, collaborate, and provide a visual to organize themselves during science.

With the many changes in education, there are limited opportunities to experience, create, and set a seed of interest in this area.
