This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Restrictions on sharing instruments has made song creation and performance very difficult. My students need to be able to apply what they have been learning in class to authentic musical experiences.
These instruments will give my students a stronger opportunity to experience music creation and personal ownership of the sounds they are creating.
Composing, improvising, and experimenting with different sounds are essential to building thoughtful and creative musicians. Students need instruments in their hands to be really successful in these experiences. Without the proper tools, my students are limited in what is possible.
