My Project
If you asked any of my 8 or 9-year-old third graders, what is the best part of their school day? Their answer will be Recess and Math Class. Increasing the student's level of physical activity and making Math class fun helps with keeping students on task and having fewer disruptions in the classroom.
I love rewarding and motivating my students for academic growth with snacks, prizes, and extra recess time.
I am requesting snack packs, specialty pencils, eraser tops, sports equipment, etc to reward students who show growth on weekly assessments, mid-assessments, and final assessments for the quarter.
This is the first year my students are taking a state standardized test. Our class goal is to reach mastery and advanced achievement levels on the test. My students are so super smart and have the full potential of reaching that goal.
Show your knowledge is a phrase I use often in my class to encourage students to show their strategies. I am also requesting dry-erase markers and boards so the kids can have fun practicing their math facts and equations.
