This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students in my 8th-grade class will be moving on to high school next year! I teach ENL students in the Bronx who have grown so much throughout the school year. They are excellent students who are engaged in their learning, are kind to their peers, and strive to improve their skills every day. They are a great class with a positive attitude and academic performance. Students will be able to use these resources to keep them academically motivated as we approach the end of the year. Although middle school started remotely and under less-than-ideal conditions, my students gave it their all.

I am so proud of the young men and women they have become, and I can't wait to see them continue their success in high school.
The pens with the graduation cap will be used to write in their journals. They will be able to write down memories, obtain signatures from their classmates and teachers, and outline goals for the future. The stuffed animals will serve as a talking pieces during restorative circle discussions. The bracelets will allow the students to always remember that they have a bright future with a support system behind them! The stickers will be used to grade each other's senior activities.
