This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from diverse backgrounds, both financially and ethnically. They have suffered social-emotional and academic hardship due to COVID-19. My fifth graders' last full unimpacted school year was second grade and some of my students have been homeschooled since the pandemic started. Now students are back in the classroom, I'm trying to provide the supplies they would need such as mechanical pencils, pencil pouches, and highlighters. My students are special because they show excitement over what may seem like the little things to most. Learning how to do something new gets them excited and each day they are ready to learn something that makes them better than the day before. To motivate more students to come to school and do their best, I want to provide rewards for them.

Positive reinforcement along with rewards for achievement will motivate students and produce a positive learning attitude to help them meet their goals.

My students love pop keychains, fidget balls, mini magnetic drawing boards, and pretty much any incentive I can give to motivate them. Your donation would mean a lot to my students.
