Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to reward four students for the selflessness and contribution to their school and community. They have each completed over 200 community service hours over the past 4 years.
These items create a stable, comfortable, and efficient living environment which is the foundation for: better focus, increased motivation, stronger health and well-being, that will improve their overall academic performance.
The iPad will impact learning because it can be used for reading eBooks, taking notes, completing assignments, recording lectures, and accessing educational apps. Using an iPad will enhance digital learning and engagement, promotes mobile productivity and flexibility. The organizers will help students keep track of their assignments and deadlines which will reduce stress and promote healthy time management strategies. Studies have shown that an organized space will foster a clear mind, which will lead to better focus and academic performance. The laundry items will encourage personal responsibility and self discipline. Having clean clothes contributes to personal hygiene, building confidence, and feeling comfortable in social and academic settings. The bedding will foster quality sleep which is essential for memory retention, concentration, and overall brain function. The refrigerator allows students to store healthy meals, leftovers, or quick snacks to reduce relying on vending machines or fast food. This is beneficial because a balanced nutrition supports cognitive function and sustained energy for studying. The laptop serves a central hub for schoolwork-writing essays, conducting research, attending virtual classes, and accessing educational platforms such as Google Classroom, Canvas, or Zoom. This is beneficial because it offers functionality for multitasking and productivity. It also supports collaboration through shared documents, email, and video conferencing. Lastly, it encourages independent learning and digital literacy.
These might seem like basic necessities, but together, they form a support system that empowers students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
