The children in our school are working very hard at reaching both academic and behavioral goals. We focus on positive behaviors, teaching good character traits, and being excellent models as we craft good lessons and instruction they can grow, learn, and build upon.
We work hard to motivate them and show them that hard work indeed pays off.
The children earn PAW points, which are representative of cash, by demonstrating good behavior and having those small, but meaningful successes throughout the school day. At least once a quarter, the students get to make a big trip to our school store to purchase items they want. Baskets of prizes are also made up as treasure boxes because sometimes students need a more immediate payout for all their hard work.
The items selected for this project; the nails, footballs, lip gloss, toy cars, puzzles, and games would go to stock the store and baskets, so our children have items to choose from in the store and continue to be motivated by something tangible with the hopes of inwardly building lifelong good character and drive.
