Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is located in a high-poverty area. My school has provided my students with laptops to use in furthering their education of technology.

My students are 1st graders that are English language learners who are determined to learn how to read and write.

They are motivated and I want to support them with what they need to become better readers and writers.

Even though my school does not have all the technology necessary for learning, we still rank number one in our network. People say that children today are "technology children." This means that children today are growing up with technology all around them. I want to give my students every opportunity to learn despite everything going on.

My Project

This first-grade class has never had a regular school year. They are having a hard time staying motivated and staying focused. These incentives will assist and motivate students to do their best in class.

I will be handing out tickets when students are showing exemplary behavior such as paying attention, doing their best work, or helping a friend in need.

Then students will be able to pick a prize on the last day of the school week depending on how many tickets they earned that week.

The more tickets the students earn the bigger the prize!
