Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It feels good and builds self-confidence to be recognized and rewarded. Our school uses a system that recognizes students for positive behavior. PBIS is a Positive Behavior Intervention System that is put in place to congratulate students who exemplify positive behavior and interventions for those who may struggle just a bit.
My students work hard daily to earn classroom stars to use in our PBIS store.
I've created a PBIS store where students will be able to shop twice a month if they earned enough PBIS stars. Students will be able to choose from a variety of items based on the number of stars they've earned. The gift cards will be an option for students who have accumulated a vast number of stars. My students have been through so much and I want to reward them for their positive behavior!
