My Project
I have created this projected to help get my students fiction, non-fiction, and Spanish books about the Revolutionary War.
Reading historical-fiction books about the Revolutionary War will help bring our country's history to life for these students.
While the Revolutionary War is a very interesting topic to learn about, it can seem quite dull to 9 year olds that don't have a ton of context for their learning. The Magic Tree House Revolutionary War book provides students with characters through which they can really understand the important events leading up to and during the war. The Non-Fiction book that accompanies it gives students facts about the events discussed in the book, giving them more context. The books in Spanish can be used by students before or after reading to help give them an opportunity to understand the events in their native language.
