Reviving Imagination: Upgrading Our PreK Dollhouse
Help me give my students replace and update outdated dollhouse furniture and dolls in our Title 1 PreK classroom, providing engaging, imaginative play opportunities that support social-emotional development, creativity, and language skills for all students.
I absolutely love how imaginative, curious, and compassionate my PreK students are. They come to school excited to learn and ready to explore the world around them. They thrive in hands-on, creative play, and I see how much their social and emotional development grows when they engage with activities that spark their imaginations.
The dollhouse and its furniture have always been a favorite in our classroom, but the current set is outdated and missing essential pieces.
By updating and replacing the broken furniture and dolls, I can provide my students with a more realistic, engaging play experience. These items will encourage cooperative play, help them practice empathy, and support language development as they engage in storytelling and role-playing with their peers.
My goal for this project is to create a more stimulating and functional play environment that encourages social interaction, problem-solving, and self-expression. With your help, my students will have the opportunity to engage in dramatic play that fosters both cognitive and emotional growth.
What makes my students special is their ability to connect with each other and the world around them in unique ways. They bring such joy and enthusiasm to everything they do, and with updated resources, I know they’ll continue to blossom.
