According to The Glossary of Education Reform, student engagement “refers to the degree of attention, curiosity, interest, optimism, and passion that students show when they are learning or being taught, which extends to the level of motivation they have to learn and progress in their education.” During the last two years of the pandemic, we have seen students lose interest in learning. My goal is to actively combat this through fun and engaging resources. These resources have been proven to build engagement in the classroom and I want to get these resources into the hands of all the teachers at our school.
The chimes will serve as attention getters and community-building exercises.
In addition, the push buttons will serve as reminders of voice levels during group activities and help manage students during bathroom breaks. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated as we continue to strive for excellency.
