My Project
Our music classroom is a vibrant space where students explore diverse cultures and creative expression through sound. One of the highlights of our program is the gong—a unique instrument that allows students to experiment with rhythm, resonance, and teamwork. Unfortunately, our current gong mallets are extremely worn and no longer produce the clear, impactful sounds we need for our lessons. They’re past their prime, and it's time for an upgrade!
New mallets will help our students fully engage with the instrument, exploring the physics of sound and the cultural history behind gong music.
The old mallets have deteriorated to a point where their performance is inconsistent and potentially unsafe. Upgrading to sturdy, high-quality mallets will ensure a better and safer learning experience. With the right tools, our students can experiment more freely, creating dynamic soundscapes that foster collaboration and ignite their passion for music.
