My Project
I teach students of various disabilities. The one thing they all have in common is their lack of social skills. Now with the pandemic our regular PreK students in regular class lack social skills. We would like to help both sides. We would like to bring items like the workbench, the grocery store, the dinosaur play box, housekeeping, doctors dress up, community helpers, planting and building things using the imagination, and the construction sets to help kids from the regular PreK class come in with us.
Our students have been isolated for too long and don't know how to play with others and there is no better way than through structured play.
Please help our daily center time become reality. Help them find friendships through imagination and creative play. We have chosen items that can be easily put into our curriculum themes and taught by adults in the classroom. We just need the materials to do so. Thank you for considering helping us reach our students.
