Reversing the Effects of Coronavirus One Group at a Time

Help me give my students a table and chairs where we can work together in small groups, but I can still reach them individually giving each child the attention and specific skills focus that they so badly need.

My Students

I have a lot of really great students this year. However, because of the coronavirus and missing so much school over the last couple of years my students are very low in all subject areas. It is going to take a lot of small group work and individual skills practice to try to bring them back up to where they should be.

My Project

Receiving this furniture would do wonders for helping my students learn to read and write after falling so far behind while missing so much school because of the coronavirus. Small group work is essential for beginning readers and also for building social-emotional skills and learning how to work as a team. Having somewhere comfortable to work in small groups would really make a huge difference in what and how students learn. If students have decent furniture that's not falling apart, they can pay attention and focus better. This table would also allow me to work with one to six students at a time but also allow me to be able to reach and interact with all six of them at the same time. In addition, the magnetic story board will make a wonderful add on to the comprehension and reading fluency materials that we use in class.
