This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These trifold posters will provide a blank canvas for my students and their families to get creative by working together on a Family Traditions Poster. Every family has a story to tell and a unique tradition to share through the eyes of a child.

The goal of this project will be to deepen students' understanding of their own family history and cultural backgrounds, foster a sense of belonging and community, and promote cultural diversity and empathy.

It will also encourage family engagement and strengthen connections between home and school. In addition, my students will develop their creativity and story telling abilities by sharing their family stories and gain a deeper understanding of cultural diversity, empathy and the power of storytelling.
