My Students

I am excited about the students I teach this year! I work at a Title I school in Charlotte, NC. The majority of my students come from low-income households and deal with personal hardships. I want to provide enough resources in my classroom so every student can have an extraordinary education. My students are seventh grade mathematicians who are ready to excel. They love using technology and hands-on experiences to enhance their learning. I am excited about what these scholars will do in the upcoming year.

My Project

The use of whiteboards is frequently used in my classroom to engage scholars and informally assess them. I am excited about their anticipated reaction to having whiteboard desks and boards readily accessible. Whiteboards allow me to see what they are doing clearly and give them plenty of space to show and share their work.

A big push in my classroom this year is flexible seating.

This is where the sitting balls will be useful. Students should have a classroom that feels like home, where they are most comfortable. When students feel comfortable in their environment then they are focused and ready to learn.

The other supplies will be used for organization in the classroom (storage bin) and technology support (earbuds). Please help support a math classroom that will transform lives.
