Help me give my students what they need to educate and persuade their community that it's important to recycle!

My Project

3rd Graders are learning about recycling as a sustainable practice, and exploring how we recycle (or don't!) in our school community. Students have already visited the Recycling Plant in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and are now becoming recycling experts!

We will share our recycling expertise with our community by creating Public Service Announcements and custom-designed graphics reminding our community members both why recycling is important, and how they can make it happen.

Students will conduct a recycling and trash audit of classrooms around the school, learn about recycling in NYC and abroad, and create materials sharing best practices for recycling. Help us make it happen with craft supplies, audiovisual equipment, and the elbow grease tools we need to get down to it and REV UP!
