My Students

My students are an amazing group of kids. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth grade school located in rural California. It serves 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

Our school has a strong academic and athletic culture.

I want to maintain our strength in these areas by continuing to provide materials to enrich my students' experiences.

My Project

I am requesting refillable water bottles for my students. We have a faucet in the classroom and the kids drink from it all the time. In order to keep more surfaces from being touched, I would like to get refillable water bottles for each student so they don't have to use our sink. This will cut down on spreading germs. The intention is for students to bring their water bottles to school each day filled with water. This will also cut down on the disruptions in the classroom

In addition to keeping from touching the same places, the bottles will help us in our movement to reuse and reduce.

Students will be contributing to being stewards of the earth.
