Our district art inventory floated away with Katrina. I would like to purchase prints, posters and books for the art program at our K-3 Elementary School in Louisiana. I serve almost 900 students.
Many students were displaced and greatly affected by the storm. This is my second year serving this school and we made many pieces of art work from Katrina junk last year. It was good therapy but was a challenge showing the students great pieces of artwork because of lost inventory.
This purchase would enable me to show the students examples of art as I teach them using the discipline based method. I use production, history and culture, critique and aesthetics.
Regular classroom teachers borrow the books and prints as well. Thank you for your generous help!
