My Project
The laminating pouches, whiteboard markers, and clipboards will be essential tools for supporting our academic learning. The Squishmallows, fidget toys, and small prizes will be featured in our class economy auction, where my students can spend the "money" they earn on items they want. The glow-in-the-dark items will be used for a class incentive to promote social-emotional growth.
As we approach the new school year, it’s important to continue supporting our students’ social-emotional development.
In my second-grade class, we use a class economy system—a fun and interactive way to teach students about money, responsibility, and decision-making. It’s like running a small economy within the classroom, where students earn, save, and spend “class money.” This system plays a crucial role in social-emotional learning by encouraging positive behavior and promoting a sense of responsibility and teamwork.
My students are special because each one brings their own unique talents, personalities, and perspectives to our classroom. They are curious learners who ask thoughtful questions, eager to explore new ideas and concepts. They are also incredibly kind, always willing to help one another and build a strong sense of community.
My students come from diverse backgrounds, which allows us to learn from each other’s cultures and experiences, making our classroom a vibrant and inclusive place. They are resilient, creative, and full of energy, and they inspire me daily with their enthusiasm and determination. Each student contributes something special, and together, they make our classroom a supportive and joyful environment where everyone can grow and succeed.
