Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a Title I school where half of the students we serve come from low income families. We provide behavior intervention services for general education and special education students that have challenging behaviors that make it difficult to remain in their classrooms.
We provide social and emotional interventions as well as incentives to encourage good behavior.
We work to make sure that we address the needs of the whole child to help them to be more successful in their classrooms.
We use a lot of art supplies each year for projects and positive reinforcement for good behavior. Help us replenish our supplies.
We will use markers and crayons during our intervention groups. We use laminating pouches to make incentive boards and other activities to do with our students.
During the school year we use colored paper to print positive reinforcement tokens for every student in our school to recognize good behavior. Colored paper can also be used in our social emotional learning projects and to make posters and projects to highlight positive behaviors.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
