My Project
My students are hardworking special education learners who can benefit from hands on learning experiences. We are learning, working and growing together, through hands on instruction. Students work together in a simulated workplace environment within our classrooms to learn how to cook, complete maintenance related job tasks, chores amongst other daily living and entry level job skills. As a learning larger, we support high school special education learners by giving them a sense of responsibility and being purpose to their daily lives. Our students face many limitations, but with hand over hand learning students can grow independent learning job skills. We are requesting materials like snacks, toothpaste and deodorant to practice good hygiene for future employment and materials to support an array of workplace skills in cooking, cleaning, repair shops and business.
