Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, I want to restock my K-5 music classroom with some essential supplies, have student rewards on hand and replace broken instruments.
Each item in this project supports student engagement, creativity, and classroom organization in meaningful ways.
Dice poppers, flat hula hoops, and drumsticks help bring movement and rhythm games to life in the music room, encouraging active participation and deeper learning through hands-on experiences. Replacing broken Boomwhackers and xylophones ensures that every student has access to quality, working instruments, something essential in a music classroom.
Organizational tools like supply caddies, clips, a pencil sharpener, sticky notes, and a visual timer help students focus on learning without distractions. Clipboards promote flexible learning by allowing students to move around the classroom or even take their learning outside.
My goals are to create a classroom that is well-equipped, joyful, and student-centered. I want to ensure students have reliable, engaging tools to explore music through movement, instruments, and games. I also want to promote community and good behavior.
