This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is a dynamic learning environment where students explore creativity and self-expression through music. To foster a love for music and provide a comfortable, engaging space for our young learners, we are seeking a music-themed carpet that will inspire and support their musical journey. This music note carpet will bring energy, focus, and fun to our classroom, helping students connect to musical concepts in a visually stimulating way.

I teach a diverse group of students, each with unique strengths and challenges.

Many come from low-income households, and our school is a place where they can explore their talents and dream big. My students are passionate, curious, and excited about learning, especially when it comes to music. Music education helps them express themselves, improve academic skills, and build confidence.

A vibrant, music-themed carpet will transform our classroom into an inviting, engaging space for learning and creativity. The carpet will feature colorful music notes and symbols that align with the concepts we are learning in class. During music lessons, students will sit in specific areas to facilitate group activities, encourage collaboration, and enhance focus.

The carpet will also serve as a designated spot for story time, peer discussions, and individual work. Having a comfortable and inspiring area will help students feel more connected to the material and eager to participate.

Your support will provide a safe and stimulating environment that encourages hands-on learning and interaction. This music note carpet will not only brighten our classroom but also create a dedicated space where students can immerse themselves in the world of music. The carpet will serve as both a functional teaching tool and a comfortable place for students to gather and grow as musicians.
