My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful and extremely ambitious. They absolutely love active, engaging training sessions and challenges that allow them to reach their maximum potential. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
This year we are planning to have 3 soccer teams but we have only limited resources for them.
We are amalgamating the girls' and boys' soccer programs so that anything we get goes to both programs.
In the past year, I have got many resources through DonorsChoose as it gives parents an avenue to see what the program needs as the coach is asking for them. In our training sessions, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and learning options to ensure that each player's positional needs are met. They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to reach their maximum soccer potential this year.
My Project
Our school's Athletic parents ordered the soccer program a new Team Shelter. Unfortunately, this dugout didn't come with a soccer bench. We would love thave this portable bench seats because not only can we use it in our home games, we can also use it for our away games.
Our students very often have to sit on steel seats over the winter months.
Obviously, this is not good for the prevention of colds and flu.
We play soccer through the winter months and leading up to Semester Finals. We want our students to be ever present in class and we believe these benches will allow that to happen and to keep kids a bit warmer on those cold soccer nights.
