My Project
This vacuum will help teach my students responsibility and help build culture and pride in the classroom.
Accidents happen, and when they do, students will either try to pick up their messes, but not get it all because they don’t have the right tools, or they will try to hide it because they know there’s no vacuum and they aren’t able to pick it up by hand.
A big part of learning in the classroom revolves around classroom management and an emphasis on responsibility and respect. A cordless vacuum is an easy and quick way for students to have access to a tool to clean up after themselves. It’s also a great way to help students have pride in their classroom because they are taking part in cleaning up their personal space. It builds empathy for others as well since they are learning to care for a space and clean it up so that others don't have to. This is extra necessary as there is a shortage of custodians. This will alleviate some of the extra load they have had to taken on.
