My Students
Described by many as a Mini-United Nations, my large urban school has the highest number of different languages than any other campus in the San Diego Unified School District. There are over 30 languages, and 80 dialects spoken by students and families at my school. This past year alone, my second grade students represented 10 different countries from all over the world. We are proudly a diverse community, made up of many different cultures and languages, which focuses on academic excellence and equity for all students. Everyday we strive towards promote an academically rigorous and socially accepting, tolerant, and compassionate environment for all students.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers is a community of millions of educators who come together to share their work, insights, and inspiration with one another. They provide an open marketplace where teachers share, sell, and buy original educational resources in various digital and downloadable formats. These lessons are designed by dedicated teachers and shared for a nominal cost compared to the extensive amount of time poured into them. They are creative, colorful, interactive and engaging. During distance learning they have been a critical component to providing standards-based instruction in reading, writing, word study, mathematics, science, social studies, health, art, music and even physical education.
