My Project
My students range from first to fourth grade at three different schools across our community. Students are always ready to learn when they enter our library or find their next best read. Continuing to engage students with reading is important.
The lack of drive or excitement for reading for some of the students is real.
Bringing a love for the library and reading is an aspect that can bring students many places in their future. Reading is the heart of learning all things. The TpT gift cards are invaluable in bringing targeted lessons full of fun and active engagement to students. The library professional development books, including the nonfiction books, are going to provide the knowledge to push students forward with reading nonfiction and applying their skills through writing. The professional development books including "The Ramped-Up Read Aloud" and "Classroom Management for School Librarians" will help guide teaching lessons in the library to target essential skills. This project brings to life engaging lessons through books and resources created by teachers.
