Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are living through unprecedented and extraordinary times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March 13 it would mean that it was our last day in our classroom.

My class consists of 13 transitional kindergarten students and 12 kindergarten students that are imaginative and fun-loving kids!

My students, their parents and I have embarked on the distance learning journey! We are actively engaging in different online platforms and learning new things.

My students and I have daily Zoom meetings that allow us to go on virtual field trips, engage in directed drawing, learn about math, practice our reading skills and get to do science experiments together. Not to mention that the Zoom meetings allow us to check in with each other, which is the most important thing.

I am amazed by my students level of engagement and their eagerness to continue to learn new things. I am also extremely thankful to have very supportive parents who regardless of their work schedule still do their very best to make sure their children are still learning.

My Project

This last few weeks, I have invested hundreds of dollars of my own money purchasing online resources from Teachers Pay Teachers. These resources have helped me provide the best educational experience, during these uncertain times. Unfortunately, I lack the funds to continue purchasing other necessary TPT resources.

There are still so many other wonderful Teachers Pay Teachers resources my students could benefit from having.

Some of the resources my class could benefit from having would include Boom Card activities, interactive presentations, science activities and Seesaw activities, just to name a few.

Please help me acquire TPT gift cards that can be used to buy essential resources!
