This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day my students come to school with positive attitudes and they are ready to learn. School may look a little different for our new friends this year but together I know we will make it a wonderful experience for the whole group! I truly look forward to seeing them and helping them learn and preparing them for kindergarten.
Our school is located in a low-income area, our students all receive a free lunch and snack every day.
We are always working with our families to ensure our students are getting the necessities in order for them to be successful. No matter what, my students come to school ready to learn their letters, play, read stories, count, and sing songs. It is truly inspiring to watch my students grow and learn throughout the year.
My Project
We are so excited to welcome our new preschoolers to our classroom! School may look a little different this year, but my goal is to have students excited and engaged in our classroom and at home! Every day we sing our letter songs, we count and our students are learning to write their names. These supplies, including the flashcards, lapboards, and pencils are so important for our kids to have access to in the classroom and also at home because many of our students do not have the basic materials they can use to practice these skills that will help prepare them for kindergarten. I hope that each student will be able to learn their letters, numbers, and shapes with their families at home.
