it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Thank you in advance for supporting the little minds I work with every day. I currently teach TK-1st grade. My class is 1 out of 3 Special Education classes at my Title I school. Therefore, my students are (stuck!) with me for the first 3 years of their education, which I consider to be the most important. It is so important for me to teach and build the necessary foundational skills they need to succeed. Despite all the pandemic changes, my kiddos have all been attending class daily and look forward to coming to class every day. The current skill level my students are coming with is lower than any other year I have seen and I need all the support I can get. My kiddos are hands-on learners and require visuals and accommodations that I will be able to provide with your help. Thank you for helping me modify my classroom into the best environment for them.
My Project
The resources selected will help my Tk-1st grade students in multiple activities for example the counting bears are great way to engage them in making patterns, quantity and counting. The alphabet manipulates will help the visual learners with letter sounds. The multiple accommodated materials selected are needed in special ed classrooms. For example the adaptive scissors, chubby crayons, alphabet manipulative, and the chubby pencils that will be used for multiple activities. I also selected adaptive tools that will help them attain to lessons for longer periods of time, for example the fidgets, bouncy seat, and chair bands.
Being in a title 1 school, we do not always have access to adapted materials for our special need learners that would greatly benefit their academic growth so thank you for the support.
