Help me give my students dry erase boards to enforce reading, writing and math skills, sheet protectors to use with phonics skills sheets and math teaching tools and multiplication flash cards to help them memorize their times tables.
In my classroom, whiteboards are an invaluable tool used almost every day for reading, writing and math. Not only do they provide an engaging alternative to pencil and paper, but also enable students to participate in a "think-write-share" learning practice. Similarly, laminated pockets allow students to use printed phonics sheets to practice skills that have been taught. Teaching tools that support our school's math program can be printed for students and used in the laminated pockets to solve math problems and apply new strategies. In addition, learning multiplication facts is an important math goal in the third grade. Multiplication flash cards for each student will facilitate necessary practice both independently and cooperatively.
