This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach First grade in a Title I public school in a low income area of the Bronx with over 95% of our students receiving free lunch. Although many of my students face adversity, their challenges do not define their ability to learn and be successful. I teach thirty-three of the sweetest and most eager six year-olds. Their desire to learn in the midst of a pandemic has not faltered.

My Project

During this school year, I am teaching my students remotely due to the current pandemic restrictions. I want my students to be able to have all the resources they need to help them learn and succeed. 

This project request is for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card so I have the opportunity to purchase materials to help support my students as they are learning remotely.

Providing students with engaging literacy & math activities and resources will continue to make their learning FUN! Gift cards from Teachers Pay Teachers will allow me to purchase a variety of digital activities that I can send my students virtually and they can continue their learning from the safety of their home environments. These activities and resources will also provide me with opportunity to differentiate my students' instruction.. Your support will give my students the best opportunity to be better prepared for second grade when school resumes next year.
