Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

FDR once said, the "Only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Unfortunately, my students do have fears- and reading is one of them. They need the proper tools to provide them with a learning experience that is not overwhelming and frightening, rather fulfilling and meaningful.

My students are amazing and inspiring adolescents ages 10-14 who have a sincere need for reading help.

They attend middle school in a high poverty area and spend each day trying to overcome their surroundings to be the best possible student they can be.

My Project

With the resources from this project, my reluctant readers will have the opportunity to have real and meaningful interactions with text. The students would be receiving a literacy center, fiction and non-fiction texts, and the opportunity to create high-interest reading experiences through readers theater. These materials will provide them with authentic learning experiences that are both rewarding and fun, all the while increasing their skills to keep them on the path to success.

Even the smallest actions in the world can make a big difference.

By donating to this project, your actions will impact the lives of so many students and change them for the better. Let's get this project funded and prove to students that anything is possible and everything is worthwhile when it comes to their education and success.
