Help me give my students supplies for their distance learning binders so that we can take school to home.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Fifth grade is what I describe as the perfect year - the students are still "kids" yet they are starting to find themselves as young adults. You can dance around to goofy songs and they will join in. Silly jokes will still get laughs. The students seem to have a never ending thirst for knowledge about space science, and school is the place where they come to escape the realities of their outside world.
The amazing fifth grade explorers who journey through our classroom door tackle their learning adventures with an open heart and a continually developing growth mindset.
They learn that by working together using their 21st century communication and critical thinking skills, they can tackle any problem that gets handed to them.
Our students come with a range of learning styles and levels. Almost half of our students are English Language Learners, so hands-on or language rich activities support those who are developing language and those who have reclassified. Our students also come from backgrounds in which they often do not have needed school materials to support their learning at home. With your support, our class can continue to tackle our learning adventures by moving to "home."
My Project
Distance learning is a blend of old tech and new tech; a combination of hands-on learning and virtual learning. My students will be using the donated supplies to construct the resource section of their distance learning binders. These binders will become part of their learning environment at home. In our normal classroom, students work in groups and have access to group supplies that they regularly use and which include items such as tape, whiteboards, staplers, glue, markers/highlighters, scissors, etc.
The resource section of our distance learning binders will take those supplies and transfer them to the home environment.
As the students participate in virtual lessons, they can take draw out conceptual math models on their whiteboards. They can use the pencils and highlighters to take annotated notes while reading digital text so that they are prepared for our academic discussions. The glue sticks can be used to place items that students create or find into their interactive science notebooks and then digital photos of those pages can be shared with the rest of the class. Access to these classroom resources will help all students have the opportunity to be successful in their at home learning.
