Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

First graders are naturally curious and eager to learn. This excitement can be harnessed through hands-on activities like STEM resources and books, encouraging exploration and inquirers.

Resources like storytelling and creative writing activities foster students' imaginative skills, allowing them to express themselves and develop language skills.

Collaboration: Students at this age enjoy working together. Group projects or cooperative learning resources promote teamwork and social skills, helping them learn how to communicate and collaborate effectively.

Skill Development: First graders are developing important foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. Resources like phonics games and math manipulatives help solidify these skills through engaging and interactive methods.

Visual Learning: Many first graders are visual learners. Utilizing charts, pictures, and videos can make lessons more accessible and engaging, helping students grasp complex concepts more easily.

Play-Based Learning: Resources that incorporate play—like educational games and interactive tools—make learning fun and enhance retention by creating positive associations with education.

Flexible seating, desk chairs, doodle boards, sensory items for classroom, organization tools, video cameras, handwriting stamps, stickers, stencils, and more essential classroom needs.
