My students need resources like paints and paintbrushes, headphones, and markers to be successful in their last months of 4th grade. The reading and writing strategies books will help me deliver more purposeful lessons that will help my students thrive in the classroom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Koreatown is a community with predominantly Latino students. Students from NOW, have a deep community bond with students, staff, administration, and teachers. Since the school is K-12, students create a strong bond with one another from the first day of school that continues until their graduation. Students always support one another, and through arguments become stronger.
My students are dedicated and hard working.
They take care of another emotionally and physically and also of the younger students at the school.
My Project
My students are getting ready to start their last months as 4th graders. Unfortunately, they have not had many art projects in the classroom because of insufficient supplies. These art supplies; paints, paintbrushes, and paint cups will help provide my students with a well-rounded education.
My students are very curious and deserve thoughtful and meaningful lessons.
The reading and writing strategies books will help me plan lessons with clear and concise objectives that will cater to my students' needs.
The whiteboard markers will help continue the learning my students are benefiting from using their whiteboard clipboards. They use these clipboards every day in the classroom throughout all subjects. I have seen significant change in self-esteem and self-responsibility with the use of these clipboards. My overall goal is to strengthen the students' skills in writers and readers workshop. Moreover, I want to provide my students an outlet where they can be expressive and can relax from their stress: art. My students come with a lot on their minds, and I want the classroom to be a safe and open space for them. My students are very creative and curious, with the proper tools they can achieve anything!
