Help me give my students the resources and tools they need to be successful in the classroom. We need organization, books, classroom supplies, and more.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our school your background does not define the education you receive. I need materials and resources in order to make a significant impact in these students lives and educationally. Each student matters and I want them to see that through the books I choose to put in my classroom as well as giving them the tools they may not have ever been exposed to in order to help them grow.
My goal is to create an inviting and inspirational classroom environment that enables each student to learn in the best way possible.
I will do that through the diversity posters and better than paper bulletin board roll. I will also use the calendar to put up in our room for the students to view daily. I also will be using the 10 drawer roll cart to hold lessons for the week so that I as a teacher am better prepared and organized for the success of my students. As well as using the 26 drawer plastic hardware organizer to keep school supplies for us to use. I will be using the felt tip markers for lessons under the doc cam. I plan on putting the fidget toys in our treasure chest.
I will use the math manipulatives in lessons to make them more interactive such as the magnetic 10 frame kit, dry erase pockets, markers and erasers. I plan on having a read aloud for morning meetings with a new book each day. I will be using all of the books about diversity to choose from for those read alouds and they will also be housed in our classroom library. I will be using phonics dominoes during small groups to increase reading ability as well as using the flashcards.
