Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a special education teacher, I see my students struggle academically in reading, writing, and math. With the materials I have chosen, my students will have the opportunity to learn and develop in the areas that they struggle the most in. I use a variety of different teaching strategies and resources in order to differentiate my lessons to what they need. With these resources, I am able to teach and work with my students in a variety of different ways. The COVID-19 Pandemic has greatly impacted the educational progress of my students and left them struggling to catch back up with their peers. I have chosen a wide range of resources and materials such as markers and flash cards because I see 4 different grade levels (2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th) with a total of 11 classes per day. Having these materials and resources would benefit my students on a daily basis.
