My Project
Hi! I am trying to get my project for my newly created Resource Room funded. At our school in the past we have predominately done push in for Special Education because of staffing. This year we have more staff and a greater need for a resource room so starting Quarter 2, I get the privilege of teaching in this resource room. While that is super exciting, the school does not have some of the things that make learning easier for my students.
My students need easy access to me as the teacher so that I can help them push forward in their education and keep them engaged.
This group of Kinder and 1st grade students have a need to run if they are not at a table directly across from the teacher, this is hard with regular tables and the space we have. Getting a kidney table would allow me to be right across from them, keeping them engaged better. The wobble chairs are good for my students as well because as I mentioned they have a need to run, being able to wiggle and wobble and get some of that energy out a different way helps them to stay engaged, and be satisfied in the space they are meant to be in.
