My Students
This year is my first year teaching and have been blessed with an incredible group of students. Working as a Resource Teacher, I see a wide variety of children throughout my day ranging from kindergarteners to 8th graders.
Of the 14 students I work with, not one of them lacks an extra helping of quirkiness partnered with an intense desire to succeed.
Each and every one of my students are unique in their interests, abilities, and needs. As the year moves forward we will continue to work on our weaknesses and celebrate our successes!
My Project
Every student is unique and therefore need a different level of supports and tools. For students who struggle with their wiggles and emotions, I hope to get a pressure vest and fidgets. For students who struggle with reading, I would like to provide them reading See N' Read reading tools. For my students with noise sensitivities and focusing issues I ask for noise cancelling headphones. Finally, for all my students struggling with the daily challenges of having a disability, I want to include some new books that tell stories of other young students who know what it's like to feel like my students feel.
By helping me to provide my students with these tools you are, in turn, providing them access to a successful educational career and an opportunity to grow.
