My Project
I love working with students who need that extra bit of attention and motivation to successfully access the academic curriculum. The Resource Room provides students, who have different learning needs, a safe place to work on their academic needs while they learn how their mind works. Often my space is overlooked and supplies are prioritized to the general education classrooms. Funds for supplies from DonorsChoose will help me enrich my classroom so that I can better support my students' social, emotional, and academic needs. Learning in a classroom that has the necessary tools to help students succeed can only further and positively accelerate their academic learning, as well as their social/emotional development. I hope to provide a flexible environment for students to discover how they best learn so that they can successfully transfer those skills into the general education classroom.
