My Project
The materials for our Reset Restart Room will provide students the opportunity to prepare for returning to class in a safe, calming environment. When students need time to deescalate, they can visit the room, using the tent and calming lights to reset and restart. Reset rooms are used as an alternative to ISS to provide students with the necessary skills to handle big emotions appropriately.
Using these materials in a Reset Restart Room will help decrease the number of suspensions and loss of instructional time for students.
During time in this room, students will have an opportunity to cool down and receive intervention for coping strategies. After spending time in the room, students can return to class ready to learn!
