My Project
In my resource room, I support students who need a moment to reset or reboot during the school day. This space provides a quiet, calming environment where students can sit peacefully, calm down, read, or use self-regulation strategies to help them return to a learning-ready state. The goal of this project is to empower students to become more independent in managing their emotions and behavior during these moments. By incorporating calming tools and social-emotional learning (SEL) task boxes, I aim to give students accessible, hands-on resources that guide them through the process of emotional regulation. Whether it's through sensory tools, focused breathing activities, or short, engaging learning tasks, this space will encourage students to self-regulate and refocus their attention in a positive and productive way.
